70th Republic Day Celebration
The 70 th Republic Day was celebrated with immense pride and grandeur at SNPT today. The National flag was hoisted by the esteemed Chief Guest Ms. Jayanthi Inspector of Police. The 27 NCC cadets marched majestically and saluted the National Flag. The choir group presented the patriotic song “Thayinmanikodi”. It was followed by a beautiful classical dance for the song ‘Semmozhi’. The melodious music and graceful movements of the dancers were spellbinding. Students presented a strong informative skit on JallianWalaBagh which depicted the sacrifices of Indians during British Reign and the duty of Indians towards our Mother India.
Chief guest Ms. Jayanthi addressed the students and urged them to do their best and feel proud to be Indians. She also invited the students to visit the police station and she explained about the latest app –‘Kavalan’ and stressed on Safety of girl children.
